Press Release Summary: Europe's Largest Commercial IT Group Reduces IT
Administration with Accellion

Press Release Body: Accellion, Inc. (www.accellion.com), the leading provider of
managed secure file transfer solutions for enterprises, today announced that MGI
METRO Group Information Technology, has selected the Accellion Secure File Transfer
solution - Virtual Edition to enable easy-to-use secure file transfer with greatly
reduced IT support compared with FTP. The Accellion Secure File Transfer Solution
was chosen as an FTP alternative for its security, reliability, ease of use, and
VMWare-certified design to support large file transfer between company sites in 32
countries.
The Accellion secure file transfer solution - Virtual Edition is delivered in a
VMware-certified virtual appliance format which enables rapid installation and
deployment and takes advantage of virtual infrastructure benefits including reducing
the cost and complexity of MGI's IT infrastructure. The Accellion Virtual Appliance
has been easily integrated into the MGI virtualization initiative to increase
business agility.
"Previously we used FTP for file transfer, because of our 5MB email size
limitations, but this method for large file transfers was increasing IT
administration and support," said MGI METRO Group Information Technology IT manager.
"Until Accellion, we were bogged down dealing with file management issues. The
Accellion solution has not only eliminated our FTP support issues but also
significantly reduced the practice and expense of shipping large files on CDs via
overnight courier. With Accellion, our users easily send files around the world
with absolutely no trouble!"
"We are delighted to have METRO Group as a customer and to easily integrate with
their virtual infrastructure through the Accellion Virtual Appliance. We are
committed to helping corporations streamline business operations by providing end
users the file transfer functionality they need, and the simplicity they want,
without creating additional work for IT departments," said Paul Steiner, Accellion
SVP Europe. "Accellion enables global business processes, with the required
record-keeping to document conformance with security and compliance requirements."
